Ambient Information Network
There is no need for yellow pages, or any other directory, at least at the local level...by the time they are compiled, they are full of obsolete information anyways.

A more usefull system involves low range broadcasting of available information that relates to nearby businesses, community projects and organizations with notes on events, opportunities for membership, and activities matched to your interests against their available offerings and suggestions by way of devices designed to look for such signals, perhaps the next generation of PDA's/Phone's.

Making the devices available on loan to visitors from overseas and free or at cost to Seattlelites would dramatically enhance the appeal of our city and increase the flow of ideas and social engagement throughout.

A kind of extraverting of the insular internet experience.
