This is an alternative to the monorail and light-rail systems which have neither provided a sound basis of cost effectiveness nor real world consideration for how and why people use these systems.

At the level of marvel or at least a measure of excitement, both fail because one is a generationally backward technology that only is of use downtown and for a very limited stretch of distance between a dubiously titled Seattle Center and a mediocre shopping center, Westlake, while the other though more asthetically pleasant and modern in appearance is basically a technology that is neither a significant leap forward, nor does it manage to actually acheive any significant functional advantage over the bus system which it is meant to compliment if not replace altogether....it is simply not quick enough to be very exciting...with its chief experiential plus being the lack of a neccesity in paying when first coming onboard as with the bus, but ordinary trains have been doing this for over a hundred years so there is nothing new here either.
It doesn't even manage to stay above ground for more than a fraction of the entire line.

It doesn't take people anywhere significant besides the airport and a revamped express bus system would better handle this function, it fails there as well....if it was meant to be an airport specific system it should have been called something like Airport Rail or the Airport Train.

At the level of function, there is little shown in the way of end-user sensibility with the lack of expansive and close car-parks and garages that could handle the desired high-volume participation of the masses.

If in fact the whole point of the build was function it fails in this because of at least 3 significant factors which include the failure to draw people to places of commerce such as South Center Mall and other places of significant sights and engagement that might garner significant interest....., two, because of the shoddy speed of the trains which might at least justify the busses that were canceled or rerouted to encourage the use of the rail....but which end up being even slower, and three, the lack of more frequent trips such as every 2-3 minutes rather than 5-10 or worse 15-30 minutes at certain points of the day and night.

Quicktube is nothing like this.

First, it is in a tube the whole trip, on magnetic levitation (maglev ; unless a superior technology can be cobbled together before building starts), with speeds up to 300 mph (480 kmh).

Second, although it is meant to be free, if it ever has to be transformed into a pay-per-use system, it's integrated OVERWATCH system would read fingerprints, faces, and voices against accounts, and those who forgot to refill their accounts, or didn't have one, would be charged(like a credit card, and next time must pay the past fee or be ejected and banned from use (automatically flagged, notifying human security immediately of the transgression) measured in seconds, not hours, days, or weeks after the fact...no warnings..immediate action.
Integrated security that would put airport security to shame at the most advanced screening stations, which will be at each and every stop, in multiples to scan through crowds of people by all available senses, rapidly.
No more thugish or obnoxious personalities hastling or harrasing people, that filth will be dealt with once and it will not return...ever.

Thirdly, the entire structure will be either elevated or underground so that other vehicle traffic, and people, do not slow it down one iota.

Fourthly, large multistoried underground parking would be teaming at each and every stop of which their would be up to 100 in seattle alone, encompassing every major attraction IN seattle, not the least of which will be all of Seattle Commonwealths projects, and at least a couple of dozen outside.

Fifthly, fully updated (by the minute) information pads would be available per each seat, providing a rich index and encyclopedic collection of all that there is to do in seattle and all the great business deals available (at the time of use)..as with the ambiant network.
Every party, celebration, all the ongoings of SSF, everything of note in the greater Seattle area, with automatic trip planning to and assistance with such things as cabs, translators, etc..
The ability to contact a concierge and get food deliveries just as you exit the Tube, handed to you and already paid for (if you have a tube account, or prefer to charge through a credit/debit card via the pad).

Sixthly, trips every 2-3 minutes...never worry about a schedule again...just show up and there will be a train 22 hours per day (2 hours for mandatory maintanance)
No holiday excuses, a 365(or 366) day per year guarantee of service.

Seventhly, gorgeous futuristic design and features right out of sci fi movies like holographic projections of real-time maps of what is going on at particular destinations and as a way of helping people orient themselves.

Eigthly, as costs go down and the Greater Seattle area grows and develops, with the population expanding, there will be automatic subsequent tube additions in those areas, not years after the fact, with requisite begging, pleading, and bribing.

Nine, special lines for long distance luxury trips will be available for a modest cost, such as a tube to the foot of Mount Rainier, or up to Skiing Resorts, like White Pass.

And more, as is desired or warranted.
