Walk on the Wild Side

 

At the denny triangle and at the crosswalk across from the QFC, in wallingford, there are some interesting patterned and colorful surfaces that inspire an alternative to the existing plain unpatterned sidewalks that people see every day.

This project consists of transforming the sidewalks in neighborhood-specific patterns that are exciting to the eyes and carry a distinct texture that allows the blind to find their way around as well.

This would also require that there will be a definitive delineation as to what consititutes the borders of each neighborhood.
